Win a free Bahamas cruise with web-hosting sign-up

If you're looking for a Web host, you might want to consider signing up with Gate.com, which is offering a free two-night cruise to The Bahamas for two if you purchase a Windows Web hosting plan by September 30, 2007. The plans start at $9.95 per month.

The cruises are aboard Imperial Majesty's mv Regal Empress, a ship we've written about in this blog, most recently in this posting. The cruises regularly sell for prices starting at $129 per passenger in double occupancy, and sometimes less with special offerings. They leave from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and travel roundtrip to Nassau in The Bahamas.

There's a big loophole in this offer, however: You'd be responsible for transportation to and from Fort Lauderdale, and residents of Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties in Florida (the area in and around Fort Lauderdale and Miami) aren't eligible. You'd also have to pay $59 per person in port charges. So this offer would only be attractive to someone who was planning to be in the Miami area on vacation or business and wanted to take a short, almost free cruise getaway as part of the trip. If this applies to you, it could be worth checking out.
